JOGOS PEDAGÓGICOS COMO METODOLOGIA ATIVA NO ENSINO DE MATEMÁTICA

This study aims to discuss the importance of pedagogical games as an active methodology in mathematics teaching, as well as to identify the challenges faced by teachers and the main characteristics of successful educators in implementing this practice. The methodology used in this work was based on a bibliographic review, including scientific articles, books, and various documents found in academic databases. It is evident that pedagogical games are an important learning tool, as they help make mathematics teaching more playful, meaningful, and challenging for students. Furthermore, it was highlighted that successful teachers in the implementation of these methodologies must possess specific skills, such as creativity, planning, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to students’ needs. The use of pedagogical games as an active methodology in mathematics teaching is an approach that can make the teaching and learning process more engaging and enjoyable. Instead of merely presenting formulas and exercises, pedagogical games can create a playful and challenging environment that encourages students to think critically and apply their knowledge in a practical way. Therefore, it is a relevant pedagogical strategy to be considered by educators.
