Effect of un composted human hair, poultry residual and mineral fertilizer on eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) growth and productivity

The study was conducted in Bakrajo Technical Institute BTI field at open field and pot experiment year 2020. un composted human hair two doses of weight (35 and 70 gm (H35 and H70), second poultry residual (35 and 70 gm (O35 and O70), and mineral fertilizer used (N:P: K ,20:20:20) (0.5 and 1gm (M0.5 and M1) on the growth and yield parameters of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) tested. Results indicated that positive significant obtained in number of leaves, stem diameter, fresh eggplant diameter, shoots and dry matter weight(gm) and yield(gm) increased, with no-significant for plant height (cm), number of flowers per plant and number of eggplants per plant decreased. Growth Parameters the significant positive results in the number of leaves, stem diameter, and fresh eggplant diameter suggest improvements in these aspects of the plant’s growth and development. The lack of significant results for plant height, number of flowers, and number of eggplants per plant indicates that these factors may not have a substantial impact in this context or that the variations observed are not statistically significant. Correlation Insights the positive correlation between plant height with the number of flowers and number of eggplants per plant suggests that taller plants may have more flowers and eggplants. The correlation between shoots weight and number of leaves implies that plants with more leaves might produce heavier shoots. The negative, non-significant correlation between dry matter and most other growth and yield parameters might indicate that dry matter accumulation doesn’t necessarily align with growth or yield improvements in this experiment. The increase in dry matter weight and yield further supports that these parameters positively impact overall productivity Correlation coefficient recorded positive significant for number of flowers, number of eggplants per plant with plant height also, shoots weight with number of leaves.
