Perceptimi i ankthit stomatologjik te studentët e Kolegjit UBT në Prishtinë

The aim of this study was to assess the level of dental anxiety and the contributing factors among university students from various academic disciplines. A questionnaire with 17 questions was send via email to the students currently enrolled at the University for Business and Technology (UBT] to analyze their perceptions, experiences, and emotional responses related to dental treatment. Findings revealed that 50% of respondents reported feeling anxious prior to a dental visit, primarily due to fear of pain (40%), dental instruments noise (29.2%), and injections (22.5%). The majority of students (88.1%) preferred engaging in calming conversations with their dentist as a method for anxiety management, whereas only a small proportion expressed openness to psychological counseling. This study highlights the need for more empathetic approaches and effective interventions to improve the dental experience and promote preventive oral healthcare among anxious patients.
