Research on the Carbon Accounting Model for Chemical Enterprises Based on Blockchain
In view of the challenges faced by domestic enterprises engaged in chemical product activities in accurately accounting for carbon emissions, as well as issues at the national level such as enterprises underreporting, concealing, or falsifying carbon emission data to reduce the cost of carbon quota settlement. This study, drawing on the "Guidelines for Calculation and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Chinese Chemical Production Enterprises", proposes an innovative carbon emission accounting model for the chemical industry based on blockchain technology. This model ensures the openness, transparency, and traceability of data by uploading carbon emission report data to the blockchain. Finally, this paper designs multiple calculation examples for different types of entities, effectively verifying the reliability and efficiency of the proposed carbon accounting method.
