Conceptual approaches and current projects for the formation of Greater Eurasia

The research is aimed at developing conceptual approaches, describing and analyzing actual projects for the formation of Greater Eurasia. Goal. The analysis of current global economic and military-political processes that determine the necessity and lack of alternative to the creation of Greater Eurasia to ensure the sustainable development of Russia and the EAEU countries. Tasks. Description and analysis of scientific approaches to the problem of the formation of Greater Eurasia, substantiation of the conclusion that the process of creating a new integration association has not yet progressed beyond discussions on various platforms and forums. Identification of the main directions of the formation of Greater Eurasia, analysis of the most relevant projects for transport and transit support of integration processes, primarily in the North-South direction, development of approaches and proposals. Methodology. The research uses the methods of evolutionary and institutional theory, world system analysis, the theory of industrial and technological balance and techno-economic structures, the theory of transit economics and interstate-corporate partnership, modeling the functioning and development of trade routes and their innovative industrial belts, expert and analytical assessments. Results. The formation of Greater Eurasia provides Russia with new geopolitical, geo-economic, and transport and transit opportunities. There are risks to this integration project, for example, the risk of China's transition to a hegemonic policy. Under these conditions, the strengthening of Russia's relations with India, the states of Central and West Asia, and all Islamic countries will balance Chinese influence, promote the diversification of trade and economic relations, cargo flows, and help maintain and strengthen Russia's status as the largest supplier of security. The material basis for the formation of Greater Eurasia should be the integration of production and technological processes and transport and transit systems, the creation of trans-Eurasian value chains. Conclusions. The formation of Greater Eurasia is the best and most effective way for Russia and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to develop, provided that they move from discussions on discussion platforms to the formation of the transport and transit foundations of this association, modernize existing and create new trade routes and their innovative and industrial belts, as well as the introduction of organizational and institutional innovations.
