SEASONAL AND INTERANNUAL VARIABILITY OF THE ATMOSPHERIC AEROSOL OPTICAL DEPTH AT THE MIRNYI ANTARCTIC STATION AS ASSESSED FROM THE RESULTS OF MEASUREMENTS AND MERRA-2 REANALYSIS DATA
The results of a comparison of the MERRA-2 reanalysis results and photometric measurements of the atmospheric aerosol optical depth (AOD 0.55 μm), the Angstrom exponent and the columnar water vapor at Mirnyi station (Antarctica) are discussed. It is revealed that the model values are almost twice greater than the AOD measurement results.
