Unconventional Nitrogen Fixation and Adaptive Genomics of a New Neorhizobium glycines sp. nov., A Promising Soybean Symbiont
SUMMARY STATEMENT This study delineates the genomic characteristics of a novel species, Neorhizobium glycines sp. nov. (EC2‐8 T ), isolated from soybean ( Glycine max L. Merr.) nodules. Despite the absence of canonical symbiotic genes ( nodABC/nifH ), this strain successfully colonizes soybean nodules and demonstrates nitrogen‐fixation capability, positioning it as a promising soybean symbiont.
