Legal Protection of Charms as Items of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Russian Peoples

The paper considers the spell-casting traditions as objects of intangible cultural heritage, which are provided with legal protection. Based on the analysis of the main national legislative acts in the cultural sphere, the main problems that arise in the field of protection of intangible cultural heritage are identified, and the positive legal experience of the PRC and the DPRK is also cited. According to the results of the study, the conclusion is formulated that the existing threat of the disappearance of objects of intangible cultural heritage determines the continuation of legal and organizational work to improve their protection.
