PROGRESSIVE WEB APPS AND COMMISSION REDISTRIBUTION BETWEEN APP STORES AND WEB CHANNEL

In the context of growing criticism of the commission policy of the App Store and Google Play, progressive web applications (PWA) are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional distribution of mobile services. The article discusses the architectural and technological features of PWA, their advantages in the context of monetization and bypassing built-in commissions of digital stores. Particular attention is paid to economic models of revenue distribution, analysis of differences between native channels and web platforms, as well as the redistribution of income between developers, payment aggregators and platform owners. Cases of companies that have successfully integrated PWA into business processes are presented, as well as the consequences of such strategies for the mobile application ecosystem. The impact of regulatory initiatives, including the Digital Markets Act, and decisions of antitrust authorities on changing competitive conditions is separately considered. Based on a comprehensive analysis, conclusions are made about the feasibility of implementing PWA as a tool for optimizing costs and increasing the financial autonomy of developers.
