Exploring Cross-Sector Innovation in Intelligent Transport Systems, Digitally Enabled Housing Finance, and Tech-Driven Risk Solutions A Multidisciplinary Approach to Sustainable Infrastructure, Urban Equity, and Financial Resilience

This paper explores the convergence of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), digitally enabled housing finance, and technology-driven risk management as a transformative, cross-sectoral approach to urban development. As cities worldwide grapple with challenges related to infrastructure sustainability, social equity, and financial vulnerability, innovation across traditional sectoral boundaries is becoming essential. The integration of real-time data and automation in transport systems enhances mobility and environmental outcomes. Simultaneously, digital finance tools—such as blockchain, fintech platforms, and inclusive credit systems—are expanding access to affordable housing and improving transparency. In parallel, emerging technologies in risk analysis and management, including artificial intelligence and big data, offer new capabilities for anticipating and mitigating climate and economic shocks. Through a multidisciplinary lens, this paper argues that the synergy of these domains not only fosters smarter cities but also advances goals of equity and resilience. It proposes frameworks for collaboration among public, private, and civil society actors to drive inclusive and sustainable urban transformation.
