A Survey on Neural Prosthetic Devices Using EEG Signal Classification
Neural Prosthetic devices that use electroencephalography (EEG) signals have emerged as a key technology to restore motor and cognitive functions in patients suffering from neurological injuries. This paper is a detailed review on EEG based neural prosthesis, including but not limited to data acquisition, preprocessing methods, feature extraction algorithms, classification/Judge algorithms, as well as challenges behind these technologies. Additionally, recent achievements and future perspectives in this area are presented.
