An IOT-Enabled Precision Agriculture System for Reducing Human effort in Cardamom Cultivation in Polyhouses
This paper discuss regarding usage of Internet of Things (IoT) in the cultivation of cardamom plants in a controlled polyhouse. A collection of sensors is used to monitor soil moisture, temperature, humidity, light intensity and plant growth indicators in this system. The data from all the sensors are given to an IoT based control board .It monitor environmental conditions and send this data to a cloud based platform for real time monitoring and management. It controll irrigation, accurate fertilizer application, and optimized climate control. The primary objective of the system is to maximize crop yield, minimize resource consumption, and reduce labor requirements while ensuring optimal growing conditions for cardamom plants. The results show that the system has the capability to increase crop productivity and sustainability than the current farming practices.
