ANALYSIS OF DIRECTIONS OF TRANSFORMATION OF METHODS OF ECONOMIC RESEARCH IN MODERN CONDITIONS

In the context of profound socio-economic and technological changes occurring in postindustrial society, economic science faces new challenges that require adaptation of its methodological base. The article is devoted to the analysis of key areas of transformation of economic research methods under the influence of digitalization, mathematization and strengthening of the interdisciplinary approach. Such trends as the dominance of mathematical modeling, the development of analytical technologies (including Data Mining), as well as the integration of methods from related disciplines — sociology, psychology and information technology are considered. It is shown that modern economic research is increasingly based on the synthesis of quantitative and qualitative methods, which allows for a more accurate and multidimensional reflection of complex economic processes. Particular attention is paid to the role of computerization and digital tools in providing analytical support for both theoretical and applied economic research. The conclusion is substantiated that only a comprehensive and flexible methodological approach can meet the needs of modern economic science operating in conditions of high uncertainty and dynamism of the external environment.
