ON A PLAUSIBLE AND FAIR ALGORITHM FOR DETERMINING THE REAL VALUE OF INFLATION IN RUSSIA
The urgency of the problem under consideration is due to circumstances of extreme importance, namely, the slowdown in the growth of household incomes and the virtually rampant rise in prices (a source of irritation for Russians), primarily for socially important food products. The level of competence of individual officials of the Federal State Statistics Service in calculating a number of important indicators of the level of security of the population of the Russian Federation is questionable. This is especially important to emphasize in the context of a fundamental revision of approaches to the formation of the state apparatus by executive authorities in general, and by the President of the Russian Federation in particular. The purpose of the study is, firstly, to identify the significant apocryphal nature of the official inflation rate, which is essentially just a part of the whole, its actual value, and to substantiate a more reliable, plausible and fair algorithm for determining the real value of inflation, secondly. Since the only option (resource) for maintaining and improving the achieved standard of living is to minimize the level of inflation, a scientifically based quantitative definition of this phenomenon is necessary, which is proposed by the authors.
