DESIGN AND FABRICATE A NOVEL TYPE-C BAND CIRCULARLY POLARIZED LADDER-SHAPED RECTANGULAR DIELECTRIC RESONATOR ANTENNA FOR SUB-6 GHz FREQUENCY IN RADAR APPLICATIONS

A Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) with circular polarization is proposed. The antenna, consisting of a rectangular DRA of ladder shape with a coaxial probe feed, is introduced with higher-order modes to cover C-band frequency for sub-6 GHz frequency applications. A rectangular DRA has improved impedance bandwidth by 10 dB with operating frequency is within the range of (3.51-4.77) GHz which covers C-band frequency. Radiation pattern, axial ratio, return loss, polarization, and gain are measured. The antenna is used in radar applications. It is discovered that the constructed antenna prototype performs admirably within the required constraints and fabricate. Finally, the results are compared with existing results.
