Training and scientific research are two basic tasks of universities. Through scientific research activities, it will contribute significantly to improving the quality of training of the university. At the same time, students participating in scientific research also bring many values to themselves such as developing creative thinking, research ability, problem solving and practicing soft skills. With the educational philosophy of Trung Vuong University aiming to train bachelors with solid practical knowledge, modern thinking and methods, adapting to the current changing global knowledge economy, so the scientific research work of students has been focused and cared for by the university, but the effectiveness still has certain limitations. Therefore, this article studies and presents basic concepts such as science, scientific research, the role of scientific research for students, basic steps to conduct scientific research, the current status of scientific research activities of students majoring in Economic Law at Trung Vuong University and proposes some recommendations and solutions to improve the scientific research capacity of students majoring in Economic Law in the coming time.
