Prepare and evaluate the polyherbal tablets for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus and its complications

The objective of this research was to prepare and evaluate polyherbal tablets aimed at the prevention and treatment of Diabetes Mellitus and its complications. The main focus was to formulate and assess tablets composed of selected herbal powders, including Cinnamomum verum, Coriandrum sativum, Moringa oleifera, Murraya koenigii, and Trigonella foenum-graecum. The polyherbal antidiabetic tablets were formulated in accordance with pharmacopoeial standards. Micromeritic evaluations such as angle of repose, loose bulk density (LBD), tapped bulk density (TBD), compressibility index, and loss on drying (LOD) were performed and found to be satisfactory, indicating good flow and compressibility properties of the powder blend. The tablets were further evaluated for physical characteristics including color and appearance, weight variation, hardness, friability, pH, and disintegration time. All parameters met the prescribed standards, confirming that the formulated polyherbal tablets possess acceptable quality attributes suitable for antidiabetic use.
