New Education Policy 2020: The Future of social work Research in India

Social work Research is aimed at aspiring to alleviate social problems or finding practical solutions for societal evils. Social work research brings the solution- focused techniques to social problems. Research brings social changes and cultural changes that would definitely add up to the betterment of society. The objective of the article is to analyse the course of social work research in India with the introduction of new education policy 2020. The study follows qualitive research. Content analysis was used by the researcher to frame the article. The data for the article were collected from various government official sites and various published research articles. Secondary data alone pave the strength for this article and the researcher utilized all the published articles on this regard. The NEP encourages to formulate research clusters and liaison between academic’s institutes and industries. But the NEP have to exactly elaborate the structure of these research clusters, quality of research work and the faculties who guides and supervise research studies. Digital divide may also add the challenges while implementing the new NEP 20202.The policy emphasizes the use of technology in education, but the existing digital divide may hinder the equitable implementation
