Effectiveness and Biostatistical analysis of combined probiotics with different concentration on Litopenaeus vannamei aquaculture of Bhal, Gujarat
Shrimp farming is a rapidly growing aquaculture industry that involves the controlled cultivation of shrimp in both inland and coastal environments. This industry provides a significant portion of the global shrimp supply, supporting economies, particularly in coastal and developing regions. Shrimp farming is a growing business nowadays. However, the use of such chemical and antimicrobial agents causes harmful effects on the quality of shrimp. Probiotics have played a major role in the success of shrimp aquaculture development until now. Probiotics are a group of helpful bacteria that provide a huge range of benefits. This study investigates the health and microbial diversity of Litopenaeus vannamei, a widely cultured shrimp species, using samples collected from aquaculture farms in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Through detailed dissection and analysis, the study aimed to isolate and characterize various microbial organisms from the gut of the shrimp. Here, in the study, Litopenaeus vannamei was used as a model shrimp to study the effectiveness of a mixture of various probiotics on shrimps. Shrimps were fed with different probiotics and their growth parameters were analyzed. Therefore, 10% probiotic supplementation mixed with commercial food, increase in body weight was reported. A comparison was made between the growth profile of the shrimp fed the probiotic strain and the control experiments. The ratio of the daily increase in body weight during the research and probiotic treatment was used to record the average body weight. Probiotic-fed shrimp and the control group did not differ in body weight during the first phase of the trial. When 10% probiotic supplementation was combined with commercial food, the largest increase in body weight (15.86 ± 0.15 g) was recorded in comparison to the control research. Specific growth rate of the given mixed probiotics effect on the shrimp’s maximum 10% concentration probiotics having 2.5g growth in 2 days observation.
