E-government: A more cost-effective way of providing services to citizens

The state administration is a complex system that operates in the service of citizens. Local self-government represents a decentralized autonomous management system organized in smaller state territories, municipalities or cities. Based on the principles of economy and efficiency, an e-government model has been developed, which plays a vital role today and is expected to become the most important in the future. In our country, the egovernment model is in operation and evolving with technological advancements and the increasing digital literacy of civil servants in government bodies and citizens. The COVID19 pandemic demonstrated both the strengths and weaknesses of the current state of digitalization, but also served as a catalyst for the accelerated development of e-government, driven by the impossibility of physical contact.
