JEVANĐELSKA LJUBAV KAO (NE)OSTVARENA MOGUĆNOST U ROMANU „DERVIŠ I SMRT“ MEŠE SELIMOVIĆA
The paper points out a shred of new light on the analysis of the novel Dervish and Death. Interpretation of the novel from the perspective of Christianity, more specific New Testament Bible is opening the new point of viewing, in the light of the metatheology. Dervish, the main character is both structured and decomposed as the narrative flows, almost paradoxically, in order to show which path each individual should pass through in search of meaning, whether he is a man of faith, or a citizen. The process of searching is challenging, especially if we consider the time and place of the action, marked by religious affiliation. Questions are universal, there’s variety of answers and it can be applied to any system, institution or community in any period of time. Therefore, this approach should contribute to a more open and comprehensive overview of the novel Dervish and Death.
