Tracing proton conduction pathways in polycrystalline MOF-based core–shell systems

A new approach based on hierarchical structures is demonstrated to study proton transport in polycrystalline systems. Interchangeable core–shell metal–organic frameworks offer precisely engineered pathways with spatially separated acid sites.
