Simple unilocular congenital hepatic cyst: from prenatal to postnatal care
Congenital hepatic cyst is a rare condition that is usually detected as an incidental finding on prenatal ultrasound imaging. Less frequently, it may present with clinical symptoms such as abdominal distension, feeding difficulties, respiratory distress, and duodenal obstruction. The diagnosis is primarily made via ultrasound by identifying its typical features. In general, the prognosis is favorable, and complications are uncommon, so management is usually conservative.
