Diagnosed in Physical Education class: study of a patient with weakness
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is a sensory-motor neuropathy with a significant prevalence, wich debut typically ocurr in the first two decades of life. We present the case of a patient with the classic signs of this condition, through which it was established a probable diagnosis. The diagnosis was confirmed through neurophysiological tests and a genetic study. There is no curative treatment for this disease, but early therapies aimed at preventing progression and complications can improve its course.
