Optimizing Profit Distribution in IPD Projects: A Fuzzy Cooperative Game Approach to Address Resource-Based Input Uncertainty
Integrated project delivery (IPD) has emerged as a promising method to tackle the multifaceted challenges in traditional delivery methods. Central to the IPD framework is a fair and rational profit distribution mechanism, which is crucial for fostering alliance cooperation, enhancing project value, and ensuring participant satisfaction. This contribution focuses on the influence of resource-based inputs (RBI) on profit distribution within IPD cooperative alliances. It introduces the concept of a fuzzy alliance, wherein participants contribute varying resource proportions. It proposes a novel measure, the τ-value based on the fuzzy Choquet integral, for profit distribution strategy within the IPD alliance. The findings suggest that increased participant resource-based input in IPD projects correlates with greater contributions and more substantial distributable profits for the alliance and individual stakeholders. Further, the study formulates strategies for leveraging RBI to refine project profit distribution mechanisms. The results show that the τ-value of a fuzzy cooperative game serves as an effective tool for establishing an equitable profit distribution strategy in IPD projects, contributing to the evolution of IPD practices.
