Hyperprolactinemia tumoral etiology

Hyperprolactinemia, the most common endocrine disorder of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, is rare in the pediatric population and is generally due to benign causes. Tumor pathology, although infrequent, should be considered due to its greater significance. Among these, pituitary macroadenomas are the most commonly detected entity and respond well to treatment with cholinergic agonists.
