THE IMPACT OF AGGLOMERATION PROPERTIES AND CHARACTERISTICS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY
The article examines the impact of various sources and types of agglomeration economy on innovation in the context of the electronics industry. The impact of access to various innovative factors, such as knowledge sources (universities and research institutes), human capital (researchers/technicians), resource providers (production services), and end markets, is being studied. The results show that the advantages of agglomeration, such as overall size, level of specialization of industrialization, and local access to the labor market, leading universities, research organizations, and manufacturing service providers, are positively associated with the effectiveness of innovation in the industry. The practical applicability of the research results is assumed.
