Based on FSWT harmonic and inter-harmonic detection

To address the challenges in identifying and detecting harmonics and inter-harmonics generated by nonlinear loads in power systems, this paper proposes, for the first time, a detection method based on Frequency Slice Wavelet Transform (FSWT). The method first applies the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to the signal to obtain its spectral distribution. Based on the spectral characteristics, appropriate time-frequency slice intervals are selected for the FSWT inverse transform, extracting the signal components at specific frequencies. Due to FSWT’s strong signal decomposition capability, each harmonic and inter-harmonic component is accurately represented. The extracted signal components are then subjected to Hilbert transform(HT), and the resulting data is fitted using the least squares method to determine the frequency and amplitude parameters of the harmonics and inter-harmonics. Simulation results demonstrate that this method is an effective new approach for detecting harmonics and inter-harmonics.
