Dual Band Rectifier for Energy Harvesting in Wi-Fi Systems Towards 5G and 6G Applications

This paper provides a dual-band microwave rectifier with high efficiency at 2.45 and 6.4 GHz for low power input, which can be applied in wireless Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting (RFEH) systems and for Wi-Fi 5G and 6G applications. The circuit achieves an efficiency of 76.02% at 2.45 GHz with an input power of 14.40 dBm, and 61.29% at 6.4 GHz with 14.60 dBm input power. The suggested circuit efficiently absorbs and transfers RF energy with less signal loss. The low S11 value (-27.18 dB at 2.45 GHz and -30.59 dB at 6.4 GHz) signifies good energy absorption, which yields the same output voltage of 6.66V at 2.45 GHz and 6.65V at 6.4 GHz with minimal input power (19.2-20 dBm). This shows the efficiency of the circuit in wireless energy harvesting.
