The method and system for intelligent operation and inspection of cables using a multi-parameter live detection device

To address the complexities in cable live detection technology, such as operational intricacies, testing challenges, the need for various detection equipment, and high demands on the technical level of testing personnel, researchers have designed a multi-parameter cable live detection device. This device integrates sensors with multiple detection technologies to monitor various cable conditions including partial discharge, infrared temperature measurement, grounding resistance, and contact resistance. The modular design of the sensors facilitates on-site testing, while the device’s wireless communication, human-machine interaction, and data storage capabilities enable it to interface with intelligent cable management platforms for data exchange, enabling functions such as task assignment, data transmission, data analysis, and anomaly diagnosis. This significantly reduces the requirements for the technical level of testing personnel and meets the needs of intelligent cable inspection in the Internet of Things (IoT) model, saving approximately two-thirds of on-site personnel and demonstrating broad practical value and potential for widespread adoption. With this integrated detection device, the operational status of cables can be monitored more efficiently and accurately, allowing for the timely identification and handling of potential safety hazards, thereby ensuring the stability and reliability of the power system.
