Research on new PST-VSC hybrid topology controller
Under China's "dual carbon" goals, the large-scale integration of intermittent renewable disrupts the spatiotemporal balance of power flow, posing greater challenges for grid regulation. In this letter, a new hybrid topology integrating the traditional large capacity phase shift transformer (PST) and rapid regulation voltage source converter (VSC) is proposed, which has the advantages of good stability, low cost and fast continuous regulation, and can realize the flexible regulation of line power flow. Firstly, the structure and working principle of the new hybrid topology are introduced, including PST and VSC topology structure and control principle. Secondly, the theoretical analysis of VSC voltage control-based carrier phaseshift sinusoidal pulse modulation (CPS_SPWM) is emphasized. Finally, a hybrid topology simulation model was built in Typhoon HIL 602+ environment, and the semi-physical simulation test was carried out with the controller developed in the paper to verify the feasibility of PST and VSC collaborative power flow control system.
