The Design of an FPGA-Based Power Quality Monitoring Device for Wind Turbines
With the development of wind turbines towards higher power and larger scale, the use of high-power wind turbine grid connection test benches for engineering testing provides a comprehensive approach for the testing and evaluation of wind turbines. Power quality monitoring, as an important indicator for evaluating the performance of the test bench, plays a crucial role that cannot be ignored. This paper presents a power quality monitoring device for high-power wind turbine grid connection test benches, based on FPGA platforms. The system adopts an integrated design concept, which includes signal conditioning, signal acquisition, and signal processing and transmission modules, achieving synchronous high-speed acquisition and processing of multi-channel voltage and current signals. In the system, high-voltage signals are conditioned and isolated before being transmitted to the AD7606C chip for sampling at a rate of up to 1 MHz. The processed data is finally transmitted to the host computer via PCIe or Gigabit Ethernet for display. Experimental results demonstrate that the designed device exhibits stable performance, strong anti-interference ability, and high computational accuracy. The calculation error of all parameters is controlled within 0.5%, meeting the relevant requirements for power quality monitoring.
