Effects of CuO, Co3O4 and Al2O3 Nanoparticles on the Dielectric Properties of Insulating Oils

the purpose of this work is to study the effects of different concentrations of conducting Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) and semi-conductive Copper oxide (CuO), and insulating Aluminum oxide (Al203), the alternating current (AC) dielectric strength and partial discharges activity. First nanoparticles have been synthesized by sol gel method X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to look at the structural properties of the generated nanoparticles. The XRD result validates the nanoparticles' crystalline nature. Scanning electron microscopy, or SEM, was also utilized to look at the generated nanoparticles' shape. Nanoparticles have a shape like a sphere and rod are interconnected, as demonstrated by a SEM micrograph. Nano fluids are prepared by two-step method. Measuring the NF samples' AC breakdown voltage comes next, once they have been prepared and characterized (BDV) and dielectric dissipation factor Owing to the high voltage supply's limitations (the Baur system), testing are only carried with the IEC 60156 standard (2.5 mm gap distance). Testing is carried out for all NPs that are taken into consideration with electrode gaps of 2mm and 3 mm.

Abstract

the purpose of this work is to study the effects of different concentrations of conducting Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) and semi-conductive Copper oxide (CuO), and insulating Aluminum oxide (Al203), the alternating current (AC) dielectric strength and partial discharges activity.
