Transforming Urban Waste Into Power and Ink
The increased waste and pollution from urbanization and industrialization have given rise to many environmental problems. This paper looks into the issue of urban waste and its potential to be transformed into electric power and ink through contemporary waste-to-energy technologies and carbon-based ink production. Both of these processes could serve to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills, cut the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere (largely from those landfills), and lower our dependence on fossil fuels. In other words, we could live in a "cleaner, sustainable city.
