Research on High-Precision Magnetic Field Power Supply for CN-H1 Stellarator
Compared to tokamaks, stellarators do not rely on plasma current to establish their magnetic fields and feature asymmetric configurations. To ensure good closure of magnetic surfaces, stellarators impose higher requirements on the precision and stability of magnetic field power supplies. To address this, a chopper topology based on interleaved parallel configuration is proposed — an 8-phase interleaved parallel Buck circuit, where the driving signals of switching devices in each phase are shifted by 45°. Simulations and analyses demonstrate that this topology achieves a maximum output current of 14 kA with ripple below 300 ppm, effectively meeting the requirements of the CN-H1 stellarator.
