Design and Optimization of a Geometric Slot-Loaded Super Wideband Antenna for Next-Generation Wireless Communication

The design and analysis of an analog circuit model for a geometric slot-loaded super wideband (SWB) antenna, covering a frequency range of 3-18GHz frequency range. The recommended antenna utilizes an FR4-epoxy substrate to ensure cost-effectiveness and manufacturability while achieving a remarkable bandwidth of 12.77 GHz at the -10 dB return loss level. A Perfectly Matched Layer (PML) boundary condition is incorporated within Group 2 optimization techniques to enhance radiation efficiency and suppress unwanted reflections. The antenna delivers a peak gain of 8.51 dBi, making it suitable for applications requiring high-gain and stable performance across a broad spectrum. The equivalent analog circuit model is developed to facilitate impedance analysis and optimize the antenna response. Comprehensive electromagnetic simulations validate the antenna’s performance, confirming its suitability for radar, wireless communication, and broadband sensing applications. The results demonstrate consistent impedance matching, stable radiation patterns, and improved gain characteristics. The proposed design offers an efficient and reliable solution for next-generation wideband communication systems. This research enhances the technology of ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna technology by integrating circuit modeling techniques with innovative slot-loading mechanisms, ensuring optimized performance across diverse operational environments.
