OFDM Transceiver Implementation with LabVIEW and USRP2901
In recent years, wireless communication has become very common, connecting billions of people to the Internet. As the need for wireless connections grows, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) will play an important role in the development of next-generation wireless networks, especially 5G. OFDM is an efficient way to transmit data by splitting it into many smaller channels, which helps improve speed and reliability. This paper focuses on how to implement OFDM using NI LabVIEW and USRP hardware. We will explain the steps taken to set up the system, including how to configure the software and hardware to work together. Additionally, we look at ways to reduce Bit Error Rate (BER) and Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) using companding techniques. These techniques help make the signals stronger and reduce noise, which leads to clearer communication. We also discuss the challenges faced during the implementation, such as signal interference and hardware limitations. By using these methods, we aim to make OFDM systems more reliable and better at handling interference. The results of this study will help improve wireless communication and show how to optimize OFDM for future use, meeting the growing demand for fast and reliable Internet connections. Overall, this research contributes to our understanding of wireless technology and its potential to connect more people around the world.
