MPPT using GWO and P&O Techniques for Grid-Connected PV Systems
Efficiently harnessing solar energy through Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is crucial for advancing solar system technologies, especially under variable environmental conditions that impact solar energy capture. This study proposes a novel hybrid MPPT technique that combines the strengths of Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) and Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithms to enhance performance. The GWOP&O MPPT tracker not only improves tracking speed and accuracy but also maintains computational efficiency, significantly increasing tracking efficiency over traditional methods. This hybrid tracker demonstrates remarkable adaptability to environmental changes, ensuring optimized power generation under real-world conditions. These findings suggest that integrating intelligent bio-inspired algorithms can significantly improve solar energy systems, promoting a scalable, efficient, and reliable approach to solar power production across various climates.
