Cable fault detection and localization method based on three-parameter generalized S-transform and AEO

Under the current situation of increasingly complex user-side loads, it is difficult to effectively identify various fault traveling waveform headers in power cable networks. In this paper, a three-parameter generalized S transform (TPST) and analytic energy operator (AEO) are combined to realize the fault detection and localization method of faulty traveling wave head based on S transform. Based on the time-frequency analysis method, adaptive time-frequency resolution optimization is achieved by the three-parameter generalized S-transform, and the fault energy features are identified and extracted by the AEO, so as to improve the precision and accuracy of detecting and locating the faulty traveling wave head of the cable. Simulation results show that the method can effectively improve the detection accuracy of traveling wave head and fault localization accuracy under different noise environments.
