Synergistic Approach to Predicting Cutting Defects in Broad Strip Sheet Metal: CNN-SVM Integration

This work uses cutting-edge deep learning and computer vision techniques to demonstrate a novel way to assess the complexity of a classification model designed specifically for detecting faults in sheet metal samples. To thoroughly evaluate the model's performance, several faults are introduced, including coil breakage, one-sided wavy edges, and bent edges. The model exhibits outstanding memory consumption, accuracy, and F1 scores across all issue areas, demonstrating its stability. The best group performed particularly well in areas such as F1-score (96.41%), memory (95.48%), and accuracy (97.36%). These figures stand out because to their non-straight edges. With an F1-score of 97.10%, memory of 97.67%, and accuracy of 97.39%, the model excels at detecting asymmetrical and shifting edges. The model is also quite good at detecting coil breakage and center bends, with accuracy, recall, and F1 scores all above 95%. With weighted, macro, and micro average F1-scores of 73.31%, 96.86%, and 96.73%, respectively, the model performs admirably. This demonstrates that it can accurately detect a variety of faults in sheet metal. This pioneering study demonstrates how deep learning techniques might transform quality control procedures in the corporate sector, with an emphasis on essential variables such as innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration to enhance fault discovery. The study demonstrates the need of using cutting-edge technologies to address environmental issues such as tree removal and species extinction. It also demonstrates how education may foster sustainable development and global citizenship. This work uses deep learning and computer vision to improve environmental protection and industrial operations. This will result in a sustainable future for everyone.
