Smart Grow: A Personalized Plant Care System
This paper presents a plant care system powered by ESP32 which takes care of the plant. Nowadays the practices of agriculture are decreasing daily due to climatic changes leading to extreme weather, soil degradation, rising input costs, labor costs, labor shortages, lack of knowledge, and improper crop management which includes irregular irrigation and fertilization. So, this device will overcome all these issues and increase the efficiency of agriculture by monitoring the crops and responding accordingly. The existing method provides a solution for taking care of the plan by dispensing water, fertilizer, humidification, and de-humidification through humidifiers, monitoring the basic vitals of plants with basic parameters provided or fed by the user into the system as default parameters where the reading is taken and system respond accordingly. The basic and single set of parameters has followed for most of all the plants, this is observed as a drawback of the existing plant care system. This paper presents an idea of implementing a device that has a set of data that will be fed into the device under each plant, when the user selects a particular plant then the specific parameter is fed into the system under the plant chosen by the user will be performed and responds according to the reading taken from the sensors and condition of the threshold observed.
