Innovative Approach to Predicting Sheet Metal Narrow Strip Defects: CNN-SVM Harmony
According to this research, there are three different types of flaws that may occur in metal sheets: coil set, crossbow, and torsion. To do this, it utilizes a fresh and enhanced method of categorizing them. Through the use of CNN and SVM, the proposed model achieves remarkable levels of recall and accuracy, in addition to F1-scores of 95.18%. As a consequence of the controlled testing, it was determined that the model is capable of identifying and categorizing faults in metal sheets. Through the use of the support percentage, we can guarantee that fault classes are equivalent, which ultimately results in an accuracy rate of 90%. CNN and support vector machines (SVM) both make use of deep learning in addition to more conventional machine learning techniques to identify minute changes in the structure and form of surfaces. The capability of the model to rectify issues that are associated with certain categories of mistakes is the fundamental reason for its adaptation to a broad variety of business environments. It is possible that the comprehensive fault labeling system, which has been confirmed via rigorous testing, will help to the improvement of the processes involved in the manufacturing of metal sheets and the quality control of those operations. The implementation of the strategy that has been offered would be beneficial to businesses that are looking for reliable and effective methods to bring high- quality metal goods to market in a more expedient manner.
