Predefined-Time Nonsingular Adaptive Control for DC–DC Boost Converter With Experimental Verification
This paper proposes a novel predefined-time control scheme for DC-DC boost converters that directly specifies the convergence time upper bound. For disturbances caused by unknown load variations, we design a predefined-time observer incorporating adaptive parameter estimation, capable of simultaneously estimating unknown loads and system states accurately. By utilizing observer-generated state variables, the system's noise immunity is significantly enhanced. Furthermore, based on adaptive parameters, we propose a completely new sampled-based reference trajectory that resolves the algebraic loop problem. The control scheme achieves predefined-time stability for boost converters without requiring any anti-windup strategies. Additionally, we develop a simple load variation detection method based on the proposed observer and adaptive parameters, extending the control scheme to handle load resistance step-change scenarios. Comparative simulations and experimental tests against conventional methods thoroughly validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach.
