Integrated Sensing and Symbiotic Communications for 6G IoT: An Information Security Perspective
The Internet of Things (IoT) has gradually become a typical scenario for the emerging Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), which brings in significant convenience, but also security challenges, especially in symbiotic cases. This work discusses the issues in IoT networks from the perspectives of cryptographic technologies and physical layer. We also highlight the benefits that the integration of Integrated Sensing and Symbiotic Communication (ISASC)-enabled IoT and 6G key technologies can provide. A case study is then presented to demonstrate the advantages of Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS) in sensing within Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) with high-mobility. Finally, we summarize the potential future works for ISASC-enabled IoT networks and outline several open issues.
