High loading of iridium single atoms in NiCo2O4 for enhanced acidic oxygen evolution reaction

A high-loading (7.98 wt%) Ir single-atom doped NiCo 2 O 4 catalyst shows enhanced OER activity. DFT calculations reveal that the high-density of Ir-single atoms enhance the adsorption energy of oxygen containing intermediates, thereby promoting the OER.

Abstract

A high-loading (7.98 wt%) Ir single-atom doped NiCo 2 O 4 catalyst shows enhanced OER activity. DFT calculations reveal that the high-density of Ir-single atoms enhance the adsorption energy of oxygen containing intermediates, thereby promoting the OER.
