Multi-Time Scale Reactive Power Coordination and Optimization Strategy for Wind Farms with Grid-forming Energy Storage
To address the voltage stability issues caused by the low disturbance resistance and weak support of wind farms in new energy bases, the combination of "grid-following wind turbines + grid-forming energy storage (GFMS)" is an effective solution. This paper first analyzes the reactive power regulation capability of GFMS and establishes its optimization operation model. Then, a multi-time scale reactive power coordination optimization strategy for wind farms with GFMS is proposed to meet the voltage regulation requirements. A simulation study is conducted on a certain wind farm to verify the effectiveness of the strategy. The results show that the proposed reactive power coordination optimization strategy significantly improves the economic performance and voltage stability of the wind farm.
