Pediatric Focal Cortical Dysplasia Classification through SPP ConvNet
One of the main causes of drug-resistant epilepsy in children is focal cortical dysplasia (FCD), which emphasizes the necessity of accurately classifying the impacted brain regions in order to direct treatment. Recent developments in deep learning and artificial intelligence have showed promise in enhancing the detection of FCD. In order to improve the categorization of pediatric FCD, this study suggests a unique method that combines 3D Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Spatial Pyramid Pooling (SPP). The model’s capacity to identify minute anomalies in 3D neuroimaging data is enhanced by the incorporation of SPP, which allows it to incorporate multi-scale spatial information. By utilizing sophisticated feature extraction and classification methods, the suggested system may enhance clinical decision-making and diagnostic precision.
