Resonance-based and Improved Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Torque Ripple Suppression in Permanent Magnet Motors
To solve the torque ripple in permanent magnet synchronous motors, this paper designs a vector control strategy based on resonance and active disturbance rejection algorithms. A resonant controller (PR) is designed in the current loop to suppress current harmonics, while a linear active disturbance rejection controller (LADRC) is designed in the speed loop to reduce vibration overshoot. The system is tuned and analyzed for stability using transfer functions. Simulation results validate that compared to the PI algorithm, this method reduces current ripple by about 42% and experimental tests on a permanent magnet motor in an elevator traction system show a reduction of the Z-axis vibration peak in the cabin by about 36.8%. This proves that the algorithm effectively suppresses torque ripple.
