Optimal Configuration of Multi-Form Energy Storage for "Tidal" Municipal Power Grid Regulation Requirements

As the cumulative installed capacity of new energy power generation increases, the net load demand of local municipal power grids shows the characteristic of "duck curve", and there is even a "tidal" characteristic that power is sent out during the daytime and received in at night, which rapidly increases the demand for system regulation capacity. In this paper, we propose a method of optimizing the allocation of multi-form energy storage for the "tidal" municipal grid regulation demand, which focuses on the problems of reverse heavy overload and voltage overrun caused by large-scale new energy access, taking the location, power and energy of multi-form energy storage access as the decision-making variables, and based on the results of the timing steady-state operation of municipal grids, and calculating the planning scale of the multi-form energy storage through the power system analysis and optimization software. The planning scale and layout scheme of multi-form energy storage is derived. The project has selected typical municipal cases to carry out program verification and analysis.
