Research on V/F Control System of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is a high-power, efficient, and compact motor rapidly used in industrial, agricultural, aerospace, and compressor applications. Key control methods include vector, direct torque, and scalar control. For low-speed operation, positionless sensor control simplifies systems, reduces costs, and improves stability. This project focuses on a V/F control method for built-in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), emphasizing speed stability and maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) strategies. Traditional open-loop V/F control can cause oscillations and low efficiency in PMSMs. We propose a voltage vector correction loop to stabilize speed, using a high-pass filter to isolate active power related to speed fluctuations and applying proportional feedback compensation. Once speed is stabilized, the MTPA strategy is implemented to enhance system efficiency. A MATLAB/Simulink model of the V/F control system for a permanent magnet synchronous motor was created. The results show that V/F control enhances stability, and maximum torque-current ratio control improves efficiency.
